Who is that model? I thought it was me until I saw that iron in her hand! Click here to check out this unusual book.

Alison Jackson has photographed the Queen of England on the toilet, George Bush and Tony Blair chatting in the sauna, Osama Bin Laden playing backgammon, and even me ironing clothes. Or has she? The likenesses are uncanny, but of course, her subjects are look-alikes. Her photos demonstrate that while seeing is believing, the truth is another story entirely. In her work, Jackson says, “Likeness becomes real and fantasy touches on the believable. The viewer is suspended in disbelief. I try to highlight the psychological relationship between what we see and what we imagine. This is bound up in our need to look—our voyeurism—and our need to believe.” Indeed, by showing “celebrities” ostensibly caught unawares, Jackson’s pictures show us what we imagine might go on behind closed doors. Her work has caused controversy, not least because it treads in a very gray area between parody and realism by seeming to break down the carefully fortified private lives of public figures. For this edition, Jackson has been commissioned to shoot a broad selection of new portraits of dead-ringers for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Saddam Hussein, George Bush and Dick Cheney, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Donald Trump, J Lo, Eminem, Britney Spears, Jude Law, Nicole Kidman, Tom Cruise, and many more. Expect the unexpected!

  1. I think is good to see ourselves as others. If we disconnect from the world, then how are we able to empower others, if they do not feel the connection?

Walk a mile in their shoes, as they say, is how one is able to genuinely connect.

Is that not how we connect with the love we feel when we pick up the corner stone of love? We connect with what is real for the child in horrific poverty, that is too weak to even move.

Connecting. Just as you and I connect. I may not be wealth, but I am wealthier in spirit than most people alive.

  2. And so are you wealthy in spirit.

We all are capable of the great abundance of love overflowing.

It is the capability that makes it possible for the world to change. It is this TRUTH, that motivates us.

Truth is of God, and of us if we turn towards Truth, and away from falseness of the heart.

  3. I hate ironing too!

But once I get into it, it is not that bad a task.

For me it is a seemingly useless and unnessary task, where I would rather wear wrinkled clothing all day instead, just as I do in the ghetto. A relaxed feeling, free of ostentatiousness, mild and gentle, fun loving, easy going….me.

  4. It is not for me either! ;D

  5. something is wrong…I can feel it.

  6. Reflect that you have become beloved through His Grace, and your own free will.

I will am here as a friend for you. Time will not change how I feel.

And certainly I will not turn towards bitterness of heart like a fool does. Surely you know this of me by now.

So be confident then, knowing fully the truth of wisdom that I embrace completely. I shall not be of the lessor minds that are in the world. It is not possible for me, knowing what I know.

I am a true and faithful friend for you for the remainder of my life.

I am also the same for others.

I am here for you if you want me in your life, but I do not expect this of you.

I do not wish to dwell with someone who does not want to be with me. Nor should anyone.

So chose wisely of those you welcome into your life.

It is your life to live according to your decisions of the heart that you are responsible for making, with the consequence of those decisions.

    This is true for everyone.

Be wise, and know that I love you. You are loved by many. And rightfully so, because of the love you have for us, for sake of us.

    Love, Andy

  7. Give thanks to God.

Thank you father. Protect the ones I love father, from all wretchedness of this world.

    Thank you Jesus.

    Love, Andy

  8. can you iron my underwear? i will do yours !

  9. of course it is not Madonna on this blog i can write all the shit there is no filter

  10. hahaha

Indeed Eric. There is no filter for those who are not wise.

Wisdom sees clearly, that which is loving and that which is foolish and empty of love, like boastful pride of wealth.

Spiritual wealth is more valuable than all the gold and silver of the world.

  11. heard you speaking out about palin- this is what we need to say over and over

    I am a working mother
I would kill to protect my family
I would kill to feed my family

who kills for fun? Only a monster

i am an american and i am not afraid
