The Queen’s DVD Club

You should check out this DVD.  One of the great artistic forces of the twentieth century, performer, choreographer, and teacher Martha Graham had a profound influence on me. Criterion presents a sampling of her stunning craft, all collaborations with television arts-programming pioneer Nathan Kroll. A Dancer’s World (1957), narrated by Graham herself, is a glimpse into her class work and methodology. Appalachian Spring (1959) and Night Journey (1961) are two complete Graham ballets, the first a celebration of the American pioneer spirit, scored by Aaron Copland, the second a powerfully physical rendering of the Oedipus myth. These are signature Graham works and tributes to the art of the human body.

  1. Thank you, thank you.. I can’t wait to view this DVD..
    I LOVE MARTHA Graham……

  2. Inspiration is needed and felt by all of us in many who we meet along life’s journey.

Indeed, there are some remarkably enlightened people I have met.

I met someone called Jesus yesterday. Never met anyone by that name before.

I spoke to him about he corner stone of love, the weakest one that they throw away. I like connecting deep within people’s heart, watching their eyes water as their heart opens wide, drinking in what they thrist for, mostly unknowingly thirsting.

It is like the resonating of strings, that when plucked correctly, is able to resonate with the the loving tenderness within their loving hearts.

So it is good to know ourself, in truthfulness of our own loving feelings, in order to realize what is also true of others. I love to dwell in the loving heart of truthfulness, that is who the genuine self is.

That is why it is important to dwell with those who are like minded.

    I love you!

    Love, Andy
